Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the office located?

My office is located at:

210 25th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37203

The office is located in Parkview Towers and the parking is excellent! If you have ever been to Centennial Park, you know how coveted those parking spots can be. My office has its own lot, and a spot is always open!

Is your office handicap-accessible?
Yes! There is handicap parking and even elevators right up to the office door.
How long is a typical session?
Typical sessions are 50 minutes. However, have you ever wondered why 50 minutes? Evidently, Sigmund Freud could only go for an hour without smoking! So, that means we have flexibility on what we decide is “typical for you”!
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at my practice. However, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. Be sure to ask your insurance company for the reimbursement rate for your healthcare plan.
What is a free initial phone consultation?

The free consultation lets us talk more about therapy and what you seek. On the call, you have the chance to determine if I deserve to meet you in person for our first session!

Do you work with men? Women? Couples? Adolescents?
Yes! I enjoy working with all demographics 15 and older.
What can I expect in the first session?
When we meet for the first session, we will spend most of our time discussing your interest in therapy, your history, and set goals. We also may talk about the noisy trucks and weed-eaters occasionally heard in the back alley!
What is therapy like with you?
Therapy with me is like talking with a person who truly listens! If you haven’t really ever had that experience, I can assure you that you deserve to know what it’s like to have someone help put all the pieces of your story together.
Does anyone cry in front of you?
If you are asking “for a friend,” let me tell you… sometimes! Sometimes, I may even be tearful with you!
Have you been in therapy yourself?
Absolutely! I believe that I am healthier and more attuned as an individual and a therapist because I have a therapist.
What is your educational background?

I completed a master’s in clinical Mental Health and a Ph.D. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Supervision.
