You might think group therapy’s not for you…
For any number of reasons…
Maybe you have social anxiety.
Or you feel like no one could really understand your life circumstances.
Perhaps you have trust issues…
Or you can’t imagine sharing your life’s details with others.
If you have any of these concerns…
Group therapy might still be good for you!
Individual therapy is a great way to learn more about yourself, but our lives are social, so the social environment can add a dimension to therapy you don’t get one-on-one.
We are designed to be social, so if you’re not…
Group therapy is an excellent way to BECOME social!
Learn just how human you are.
Interacting with group members shows you just how similar we are.
We may have different life experiences, but one thing we all share as humans is suffering.
It’s helpful to see how others navigate the areas of life you struggle with every day.
Learning HOW others engage in life is a great way to clarify your own.
“Group therapy is a social microcosm of the world in which we live.”
–Irvin Yalom
A powerful experience…
Groups range from 4 to 12 people, and you’ll have TWO therapists!
As Yalom notes, we experience group as a reflection of the world in which we live. In group, you can observe how you interact with others and learn where you can change and get stronger.
My partner and I facilitate healthy social engagement in every group to ensure you get the most out of the exploration.
I can’t recommend group therapy highly enough!
